The Henry Lee Society is the largest and oldest continually operating genealogy society dedicated to Lee-
homonymic surname research. As a member, you will join a group of dedicated researchers all focused on finding
the truth about their ancestors. In addition, you will obtain:
- Invitation to the Annual Meeting, held at points of genealogical interest in the USA, and
inclusion in the various extracurricular events held in conjunction with that meeting.
These usually include excursions to local historical sites, dinner outings, informal get-
togethers with other members, dinner cruises, and the like.
- Periodic email newsletters regarding research developments, stories about members
and/or their families, other topics of interest.
- Access to contact information from other members, allowing collaboration on research,
participation in "expert" committees, and inclusion in any publication rights.
- Access to the Members Only section of this website incuding a raw research database for
transcription of surname-specific records, and a processed/peer-approved database of
genealogies.
Current Membership fees are $25 per year for a member and spouse. These fees are used to pay for the common
costs at the Annual Meeting, operating costs of the Society, any research or other project voted upon and
implemented by the Society, and the like. Members pay their own costs to get to and from the Annual Meeting, for
meals and other activities.
